OverviewKobo's Children is a sequel to Kobo, which told the story of Kobo and his mate Ra as pampered human pets of two grobs on the planet Pavin near the center of the Milky Way Galaxy and later as slaves in the mines on Loma, another planet in the Pavin system. Kobo's Children, follows Ra, now a leader of the human community on Loma after Kobo's death, as she finds a mate in Azoo, previously hunted by grobs for sport on Pavin, and as they struggle against a rebellious faction in the community. It also follows Na, the daughter of Ra and Kobo who was sold as a toddler and later kidnapped from her loving grob owner by grobs who train her as a performer in their human circus. Eventually, Ra and the other humans on Loma are discovered by an expedition from Earth exploring the center of the galaxy, who must decide whether and how to make contact with those humans and with the grobs.
