Overview

The present manuscript, a doctoral thesis presented at the University of Malaga, Spain, aims to characterize a type of tourism proposed by the Public University, which is not limited, as is generally the case in practice, to the simple contemplation of natural or cultural assets. What it aspires to, in opposition to this idea, is the effective interaction of ecotourists with these goods through actions that involve knowledge. Therefore, the object of the present research is constituted by the essential elements in the propositive drawing of a typology Doutor em Desenvolvimento Turístico Sustentável pela Universidade de Málaga (UMA) - Espanha; Mestre em Mídia e Conhecimento, UFSC; Especialista em Ecoturismo, UFLA; Bacharel em Turismo, ASSESC; Atualmente é Professor Adjunto do Curso Superior de Tecnologia em Gestão de Turismo da UFPR Litoral e Coordenador do Projeto de Extensão Rota Caiçara de Cicloturismo.tourism. We are talking about a model of locally based ecotourism, which involves the production and socialization of scientific and popular knowledge, with the participation of public universities and related institutions.
