Author Information

G.J. Narayana received his Science degree from the University of Mysore, Karnataka. He had his early library education at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He took his Masters degree in Library and Information Science from University of Bombay and Doctorate degree from University of Poona. He has over thirty years of varied experience which includes research, teaching and management in the fields of libraries, information and knowledge. He retired as Head, Knowledge Centre, Aeronautical Development Establishment (DRDO), Bangalore. He has published several papers in reputed journals. He is the author of three other books, Ballistics: A Biblioview, Library and Information Management and Knowledge and Information: Perspectives and Prospects. He also taught Management Science at post-graduate level at the Department of Library and Information Science, Poona. He is a Senior Fulbright scholar. He received Scientist of the Year Award: 1984 from the Government of India in recognition of his contributions to defense R&D in the area of information and training.
