Knights and Demons

Overview

A storm of overwhelming darkness expands over the lands, consuming all in a wake of implacable evil. The last alliance of Elves, Men, and Dwarves has been forced to retreat to sanctuary caves hidden deep within the high Eastern Peaks, where the army of the Demon Lord, Abadon, cannot easily follow. The Archmage, Ranier, languishes, his strength failing each day after his confrontation with Abadon. Yet, he has tasked three quest groups with missions of impossible peril; the fate of their world hangs in the balance should even one fail. As the remnants of the alliance wait helpless against starvation and despair, the Dwarven High Council orders General Mekko to negotiate a peace with the Demon Lord. Battling fear, hunger, and the seeds of rebellion, Mekko, Crichton, and Cormayer struggle to keep the fragile alliance from shattering. Mya and Elenari lead a team into the unexplored Darkstone Sierras to find the elusive Cradle of Life. There, they must release a potion to restore the world and negate Abadon's power. Meanwhile, Galin and the Kenshari Master, Reyblade, must break the naval blockade that prevents reinforcements from the southern island kingdoms from reaching the alliance. Elsewhere, Kael and Archangel venture into the distant past-to a time when Abadon's demon army first battled the mortal races for supremacy. They seek to restore the Emerald Star and return home before all is lost. Unknown to them, the cunning Demon Lord has dispatched agents to intercept every group. Will the light appear just before the dawn to offer hope, or will it be forever snuffed out by eternal evil?
