Ida Byrd-Hill is President of Uplift, Inc, a 501 ( c ) 3 Idea Incubator where she spent 8 years leading and crafting a transformation of the educational landscape of Detroit including the first cyber school in Detroit. Ida spent 10 years as a financial advisor and 5 years as a mortgage loan officer having advised 2200 individual clients and 10 corporate clients. She spent 5 years in human resources and executive search trotting the globe and placing technical executives. She is pursuing a MBA from Strayer University - Jack Welch Management Institute. after receiving a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 1989. She is the proud parent of twins, Kevin and Karen Hill, students at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY and Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, MI, respectively.
