OverviewThis volume presents previously unpublished notes and descriptions from work at the important prehistoric pueblo of Kinishba. Kinishba is on White Mountain Apache lands in east-central Arizona, and was first excavated by Byron Cummings in the 1930s. Work continued for several decades as attempts were made to create a possible national momument at the site. John Welch brings together these early excavation materials with contemporary perspectives on the architecture, ceramics, history, and setting of this important pueblo, and the general culture history of the region.
