JT Sawyer is the pen name for Tony Nester. For thirty years, Tony made his living teaching survival courses and guiding trips throughout the Four-Corners Region and Western United States. He has taught courses for the military special operations community, Department of Homeland Security, United States Marshals, NTSB, FAA, and other federal agencies throughout the country. Tony has also worked with celebrities like Josh Brolin, Andrew Zimmern, and Emile Hirsch, and he served as a consultant for the film, Into the Wild. He holds a bachelor's in anthropology, is a former EMT, and the author of twelve nonfiction books on survival along with more than forty fiction books under his pen name.
