Key Christian Beliefs: Grace and Truth in the Wesleyan Tradition

Overview

What do Christians believe-and why does it matter? In Key Christian Beliefs: Grace and Truth in the Wesleyan Tradition, theologians David F. Watson and William J. Abraham invite readers to rediscover the core teachings of the faith through the lens of grace. Rooted in Scripture and the historic witness of the church, this clear and accessible guide explores who God is, what it means to be human, how salvation works, and why doctrine still shapes our lives today. More than a summary of ideas, this book shows how right belief leads to holy love and living. Truth, when joined with grace, forms a living faith.Perfect for small groups, pastors, and church leaders, Key Christian Beliefs is: - Grounded in Scripture and Tradition - Presents the historic teachings of the Christian faith through a distinctly Wesleyan lens. - Accessible and Clear - Written for lay readers, small groups, and pastors seeking a reliable teaching resource. - Practical for the Church - Designed for group study, catechesis, and new member or confirmation classes. - Grace-Centered Theology - Emphasizes Wesley's hallmark theme: that God's grace is active, transformative, and available to all. - Renewed for Today - Updated with new material and a fresh design for a new generation of readers.
