Overview

Arriving in the gold-mining town of Julian, Willis Winesap and his foil Goldie Jonagold, learn that the new town Doctor will be delayed. Seizing the opportunity, Winesap proclaims himself to be the new doctor, scheming to give free exams to the gold miners and declare them contagious with Gold Lung Disease, or the more commonly known, E-Golda. Once quarantined, he and Goldie will take their gold and hit the trails. But there is Sheriff (our hero) to contend with, along with his very attractive beau Manzanita (our heroine), and those feisty miners who won't go down without a fight. But in the end, as in all melodramas, justice will out, the villain vanquished, and our young lovers on their way to living happily ever after.
