OverviewEleven months after hurricane Katrina hit landfall, and the sky had cleared, debris is still all over, and some people are sleeping in gutted-out houses. The money that Katrina and Rita victims need to get their lives and homes back in order has not gotten into hands of these people, and we are now approaching another hurricane season. Katrina was a bitch of a storm that changed the lives of Gulf Coast residents forever. There were signs all along the Gulf Coast region, that expounded the frustrations, and anger of it's citizen. The author believes that some of these signs were created by members of organizations such as the Red Cross, FEMA, the Army Corps of Engineers, and a host of other organizations that Katrina blew the cover off. Had it not been for Katrina, we wouldn't have known that the Red Cross was designed to fail the very people that need their assistance. We wouldn't have known that FEMA was so dysfunctional. Katrina revealed and uncovered the waste of our tax payer's money, and a host of other things that might not have been uncovered had Katrina not hit landfall. The most prolific sign summed up of the frustrations and disappointments of these organizations and the citizens of the Gulf Coast Region. The Sign simply read KATRINA THAT BITCH!
