Author Information

P.L. Hogan enjoys spending his summers at his cabin in Ketchikan, Alaska. Nice long hikes afford him the opportunity to think and lay out his writing endeavors. When at his place in Salem, Oregon he spends his extra time in the vegetable garden preparing it for the next year. Allowing him the time to just wander off in thought about his many books ideas. He spent several of his years holding meetings with a local group that studied philosophy, each week they would discuss its relevance in today's society. Ancient history is another subject that peaks his interest and the two went hand in hand. I spent most of the last 40 years cramming computerese into this tiny brain and I think it may have caused a leak. Being a computer analyst, from the get go, I have seen mind boggling changes in the computer field. So after much contimplation about retiring, it didn't take much persuasion, I did it. In 2017 I gave up the ghost and handed my job over to the younger generation. So here I am starting over, at 61 no less, hoping to entice you enough to try out my wares. My hobbies, are reading, no joke but probably not what you are used to. I have always been drawn to philosophers like, Socrates, Plato, Kant and many more. I also love to study up on ancient history, all the way from the beginning of time until now. Ancient Egypt, Greece, rome and the Yucatan draw me into them whole heartedly. I was told one time that the greatest error a person can make is to not share all of the information they have gathered in their lifetime. Think about it, you have learned about something and you may have a completely different take on what it is about. Society calls you out to teach others what you know. This is one one of the main reasons I choose to write stories about past civilizations, also if you don't use it you will lose it.
