Overview

Katie finds the courage to face off with a former friend in this addition to Spotlight's sweet treat of a tween series. Katie and Callie used to be best friends--until Callie ditched Katie so she could join the Popular Girls Club. And even though Katie is now very happy with her Cupcake Club friends, Callie's mean move still bothers her. Finally, Katie finds a way to confront Callie . . . but it's going to take lots of sweet-talking to repair the friendship.

Coco Simon is the author of over thirty books about middle school girls, including the Cupcake Diaries, Sprinkle Sundays, and Donut Dreams series. When she's not daydreaming about yummy snacks, Coco edits children's books and has written close to one hundred books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes, ice cream cones, and donuts she's eaten. Jesse Vilinsky is a classically trained actress and voice actor, having graduated from the USC School of Dramatic Arts and BADA in London. She has lent her voice to numerous film and television projects and has worked on various video games, animation, and commercial projects as well. As a narrator, Jesse has garnered recognition in AudioFile magazine for her expertly voiced characters and ability to bring forth the strength and truth of their stories.
