OverviewThis work contains an essay by Bice Curiger. Katharina Fritsch (born in Essen, 1956) is inspired by the typography, layout and surface feel of a children's book in this artist's publication. The oversize format allows the reproduction of her current sculptures, installations and silk-screen objects in excellent quality. This series of works is focused on Paris, on the language of stereotypical imagery that evokes the idea of Paris. As Bice Curiger states in the accompanying text; ""The merest entreaty - a black-and-white image of a croissant would do - and in a flash one is back in that air somehow saturated with sweet vapors, where our thoughts and feelings sometimes happen.""
