English summary: Up to now, the cataloguing of the 1067 (thereof 700 medieval) manuscripts of the University and Regional Library of Tyrol in Innsbruck was unsatisfactory. As a consequence, work on a scientific printed catalogue was commenced under the auspices of the Commission for Paleography and Codicology of Medieval Manuscripts of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Like the previous seven volumes the eighth volume (Cod. 701-800) is sponsored by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and is directed by Walter Neuhauser. The catalogues are arranged by signatures and therefore this volume, too, displays a great variety of content, formally as well as textually. As opposed to the earlier volumes, this time the share of modern manuscripts (i. e. after 1500), approximately one third, as well as the amount of manuscripts written in German (14) is greater; furthermore eight manuscripts are written in Italian and one in French. As regards content, theological manuscripts still prevail (more than half), the rest belonging to several disciplines, also to the natural sciences. Two manuscripts, translations of theological manuscripts into early Modern High German, are worth mentioning: Cod. 772 and 773. Many texts could be ascribed to an author for the very first time. As the previous volumes the eighth volume of the catalogue attaches great importance to the history of each manuscript, given that there were a variety of previous owners. This will help to reconstruct the still outstanding history of Tyrolean libraries. Two indices (index of incipits and index of authors, titles and subjects), some illustrations, appendices and a CD including illustrations on book paintings and script samples of dated and undated manuscripts allow for easy handling of the catalogue. Currently the ninth volume is about to be completed and work on the tenth is in progress; in total the series will comprise ten volumes. German description: Die 1067 (davon ca. 700 mittelalterlichen) Handschriften der ULBT Innsbruck waren bisher nur unbefriedigend erschlossen. Daher wurde ein nach den Richtlinien der Kommission fur Schrift- und Buchwesen des Mittelalters der Osterreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften erstellter wissenschaftlicher Katalog in Angriff genommen, von welchem bisher sieben Bande erschienen sind. Der vorliegende achte Band (Cod. 701-800) wurde wie die Bande 3 bis 7 im Rahmen eines vom Fonds zur Forderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung in Osterreich (FWF) getragenen Projektes erstellt (Leitung jeweils Walter Neuhauser). Aufgrund der Anordnung des Katalogs nach Signaturen bietet auch dieser achte Band ein formal wie inhaltlich buntes Bild. Gegenuber den fruheren Banden ist der Anteil an neuzeitlichen Handschriften (nach 1500) mit ungefahr einem Drittel wesentlich grosser als fruher, mit 14 auch die Zahl der deutschsprachigen Handschriften, dazu kommen noch acht italienische und eine franzosische Handschrift. Inhaltlich dominieren nach wie vor die theologischen Handschriften (etwas mehr als die Halfte), der Rest ist auf mehrere, auch naturwissenschaftliche Fachgebiete aufgeteilt. Hervorzuheben sind zwei Codices mit Ubersetzungen theologischer Texte in ein fruhes Neuhochdeutsch (agemeines Deutsch, Cod. 772 und 773). Bei vielen in den Handschriften anonym uberlieferten Texten gelang erstmals eine Zuordnung zu einem Autor. Wie bei den fruheren Banden wurde aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Vorbesitzer grosses Gewicht auf die Darstellung der Geschichte jeder Handschrift gelegt, zugleich als Baustein fur eine noch ausstehende Bibliotheksgeschichte Tirols. Zwei Register (Textanfange, Kreuzregister fur Autoren, Titel und Sachen), ein Abbildungsteil und mehrere Anhange sowie eine CD, enthaltend den Katalogtext, Abbildungen zur Buchmalerei und Schriftspezimina zu allen Handschriften, erleichtern die Benutzbarkeit. Das Gesamtwerk ist auf zehn Bande angelegt, der neunte Band ist in Fertigstellung, der zehnte in Arbeit.
