An inspirational adventure story about a 12-year-old boy who wants to save his sister's life, and prove to himself that life is fair. Similar to Wonder, The Alchemist, or Jeremy Fink & The Meaning of Life, Karma is a fast-paced read that is appropriate for all ages. Everyone says life's not fair. Karma wants to prove them all wrong. Things were going bad for Karma. His mom died, his stutter got worse, every other boy in the sixth grade was getting taller, and Mike Garfinkle was finding new, creative ways to torment him. But when his sister's sickle cell disease becomes life-threatening, Karma decides it's time to change his luck. After all, his mom gave him his unusual name for a reason.
