Overview

Mitch Westcott is in for a rude awakening. Entitlement is his currency, and compassion is a foreign concept, but when a fatal car accident abruptly ends his reign of privilege, the universe has a karmic reckoning in store. This twist of fate leads him not to an afterlife, but to a second chance at life-in the form of a female pug named Stella with a face only a mother could love. Left to fend for herself after being abandoned on the side of the road, she must learn to navigate a cruel world with no money-or pockets to put it in. Anger and frustration intensify as Mitch sees the world through a dog's eyes, but gradually an unfamiliar canine compassion does battle with his narcissistic tendencies. When Stella is given the opportunity to provide comfort to the sick, Mitch's past comes back to haunt him. Will he let it derail his chances at redemption or will he finally understand that it is not what we can get out of life that's important, but what we can give?
