Karma Cats Kitten Adventure is another lovely book in the Karma Cat series by Kathleen Kastner, with wonderful illustrations by Coraline Tran. This is the third book in the series, and they just keep getting better. This book is about showing kindness and accepting a helping hand when all seems lost. It's also about the determination to succeed and our strong bonds with family. The photos at the end show the real animals the characters were based on, lending the story a touch of reality and allowing kids to see that it's more than just a tale - this is real life, and the animals on the streets and in the shelters need our help. These books go a long way toward backing up the ""Adopt, Don't Shop"" advice for anyone looking for a new pet and hopefully will help the kids who read them see that, too. A passionate advocate for animals, she wrote this series in memory of her soul mate cats, Julian and Oliver, to inspire kids to be kind and compassionate to animals. Kathleen holds a B.S. in Journalism and an M.S. in Education from the University of Kansas.
