Kant and the Space of Feelings

Overview

This volume aims to make a contribution to the debate surrounding the renaissance of Kant-Studies in the last few decades, with a particular emphasis upon the ‘space of feelings’. Kant dominated the modern debate concerning reason, but he did not underestimate the sphere of sensibility. The volume is divided into four sections. The first section is dedicated to the connection between feelings and action from moral, political and religious perspectives. The second section focuses on the feelings and judgements, considering both scientific and aesthetical approaches. The third and fourth sections are dedicated to the legacy of Kant’s philosophy. In particular, while the fourth one concentrates on Kant’s heritage in the discussion on feelings, the third one deals specifically with the topic feelings in connection with environmental discussions from a Kantian perspective.
