Author Information

Kalin Lindena (*1967, Hannover) lives and works in Karlsruhe and Berlin. She is professor for painting since 2014. 2009 she was awarded with the Villa-Romana-price, 2007 with the Art Cologne Prize for young art. She was educated between 1997 and 2004 at the HbK School of Arts Braunschweig, and studied with Hartmut Neumann, Johannes Brus and Walter Dahn. Since 2006 she is represented by Galerie Nagel, Berlin/Cologne. She solo exhibitions at Kunstverein Heilbronn (2008), Cubitt, London (2009), Sprengel Museum Hannover (2010) and participated at important group shows. Fabian Goppelsrö der (*1977) lives and works in Karlsruhe, since 2023 he is professor for art and theory at the Academy of Arts in Karlsruhe, a famous German institution since the 1854. Founder and first director was Wilhelm Schirmer, a landscape painter of the so-called Dusseldorf school and a protagonist of naturalistic landscape painting. Fabian Goppelsrö der had 2021- 2023 a professorship with the focus on theory at the School for Arts in Braunschweig, between 2015 and 2017 he was Feodor Lynen Fellow at the Humboldt Stiftung of dep. Germanic Studies of the University of Chicago.
