Book DescriptionKààt Pubi is the complete Holy Bible in the Ɓàsàa language of Cameroon, comprising both the Old Testament (Màlomblà ma Kwâŋ) and the New Testament (Màlomblà ma Yɔndɔ) in a single, unified volume. This 2026 edition represents the culmination of nearly three decades of ecumenical collaboration and scholarly revision. The project began with the historic 1997 Interdenominational Consultation convened under the auspices of the Bible Society of Cameroon, where Catholic and Protestant leaders jointly committed to a unified translation and orthography for the Ɓàsàa language. First published in 2016 and subsequently revised in 2017, 2020, and 2024, the present 2026 edition consolidates all prior revisions into a carefully corrected and harmonized text. It aligns with the Majority Text / Textus Receptus tradition, following the King James Version (KJVA 1611) and the Osterwald 2018 edition, while incorporating updated orthography in accordance with the General Alphabet of Cameroonian Languages (AGLC). This volume reflects sustained attention to typographical, orthographic, contextual, and semantic precision. It is intended for liturgical use, personal study, academic engagement, and the preservation and strengthening of the Ɓàsàa language within both church and community contexts. Available in print and online, this edition represents a mature and authoritative presentation of the Scriptures in Ɓàsàa. Cette édition 2026 représente l'aboutissement de près de trois décennies de collaboration oecuménique et de révision savante. Le projet trouve son origine dans la Consultation interconfessionnelle de 1997, organisée sous l'égide de l'Alliance Biblique du Cameroun, au cours de laquelle des responsables catholiques et protestants se sont engagés conjointement en faveur d'une traduction et d'une orthographe unifiées pour la langue Ɓàsàa. Publiée pour la première fois en 2016, puis révisée en 2017, 2020 et 2024, la présente édition 2026 intègre l'ensemble des corrections et harmonisations précédentes. Elle s'inscrit dans la tradition du Texte majoritaire / Textus Receptus, en référence à la King James Version (1611) et à l'édition Osterwald 2018, tout en adoptant l'orthographe actualisée conformément à l'Alphabet Général des Langues Camerounaises (AGLC). Ce volume reflète un travail soutenu de précision typographique, orthographique, contextuelle et sémantique. Il est destiné à l'usage liturgique, à l'étude personnelle, à la recherche académique ainsi qu'à la préservation et au renforcement de la langue Ɓàsàa au sein de l'Église et de la communauté.
