Margaret, AKA 'Ducky', is wild about ducks but at day camp, she soon realises others do not share her passion for the feathered animal. As she struggles to make a friend, she discovers that kindness and listening can go a long way in forming a friendship. Making friends doesn't come naturally to all children. Being a good listener is a learned skill as well as being able to go beyond one's own interests. Just Ducky illustrates these concepts through a fun and relatable story that children can easily understand. The book comes with discussion prompts for comprehensive learning. Author Information

Berrie Torgan-Randall is an author/illustrator working from her home studio in Media, PA. In addition to being an author and illustrator, she is the Illustrator Coordinator for the Eastern Pennsylvania SCBWI. Berrie's illustrations have appeared in Ladybug Magazine, and her debut early reader graphic novel, Bella & Blue: Bella Meets Blue was published by The Little Press Publishing in 2022. In addition, Berrie's debut picture book, Just Ducky: A Friendship Takes Flight, was recently acquired by Cardinal Rule Press to be released October 2025
