I've had nearly every thought that Ashley had throughout her career and yet felt guilty for each thought. It was so nice to read this and realize that I'm not alone in my thoughts. I cannot agree more about the system and its inadequate processes. I've also said many times ""I'm just a nurse"" but it isn't ""just"". Finally, it made me really think about self care and the importance of it. I'm not sure what I would do if I quit nursing but maybe it's time to find out?!?! Thank you Ashley for having the courage to shares these feelings. -Jeff Jesson I resonated with her entire journey as a RN..from eager new grad to burnt out Covid ICU RN. I appreciated her honest candor and vulnerability. -Amy Ostertag" Author InformationAshley Chancellor began her nursing career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in intensive care before becoming a traveling nurse, working in dozens of hospitals across the US.
