Junior Trax is a gently graded set of fifteen tuneful songs along with specially devised preparatory exercises. Designed for use following the initial stages of learning using the interval approach in Margaret Brandman's Junior Primer, every arrangement develops the pianist's ability to both co-ordinate the hands and to gain hand independence. Arranged for two balanced parts using easy key signatures and rhythms, the pieces foster music speed-reading and learning. To simplify the learning process particular attention has been paid to the proportional music layout and fingering. Lyrics are included above the music. The songs in the book, amusing title illustrations featuring Dexter the Koala and the included single-line duet parts will provide hours of enjoyment for novice pianists.
