Slawko Waschuk is a Toronto-based publisher and travel writer. He has co-authored multiple Junior Jetsetters titles. Mike Hiscott is a freelance artist based in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He graduated from the illustration program at Sheridan Institute of Technology in Oakville. Mike drew Keira and Jordi and also created some seriously cool animal characters for both the Junior Jetsetters Guide to Chicago and the Junior Jetsetters Guide to Lisbon. After School Matters is a City of Chicago outreach program for students and teens in underserved communities, aimed at exposing the city's youngsters to rewarding careers and building up their skills.
