After she left TWA in 1986, she purchased a franchise travel agency in Lawrence, Kansas. With her heart still in the clouds, she began working for Delta Airlines in 2000 as an agent. After retiring from Delta in 2014, she began volunteering at the TWA Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. She also sings with an 80 voice choir in Liberty, Missouri.
