Mark Badger drew superhero comics from Batman: Jazz and Run, Riddler, Run to Spiderman Online during the 1980s and 90s. His superheroes often confronted such unusual issues as racism, gentrification, sweat shops, and unions, along with the more usual threats of giant robots, dastardly villains, and monsters. His online comics work led to game and web development, along with teaching code for the past fifteen years. He has now returned to comics, and is currently adapting Shakespeare's Julius Caesar as well as working on Abstract Kirby, which melds his lifelong interests in Kirby, politics, storytelling, and abstraction.
