She spent her early years in Park Ridge, IL. She attended Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette, IL, and graduated from Maryville University with her BFA degree in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her teaching degree and certification from the National College of Education at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. It was at Maryville University, that she committed her life to be an artist and art educator. She enjoyed teaching numerous age levels and completed her teaching career at Visitation Academy in St. Louis. Suzy has participated in various art events and produced wall murals for businesses across the Midwest. She has created illustrations for books such as: ""Rose Philippine Duchesne: Pioneer Saint,"" written by Susan Scarpinato and illustrated by Susan Lorenz. This children's coloring book covers Philippine's life and challenges. ""Julianne's Big Move,"" written by Dede Peterson and illustrated by Suzy Lorenz.
