Joy Comes in the Morning: A 6 Week Healing Devotional for Holding on to Hope during Crisis

Overview

Don't give up on yourself; you were made for more! This is an invitation to be set free from all the things that hold you back from the fullness of Christ. This book is a devotional and a guide to help you get through all the places you've probably considered going to therapy for. As a Christian, it is difficult to talk about the things that we can't seem to shake off, the strongholds and deep hurts. Oftentimes, we walk around wounded, not knowing how to process our pain. This book tackles areas of struggle for many and will leave you feeling like the conqueror in Christ that you are. It reminds us that healing is not linear and restores hope in all the places where we may have lost it, such as: - Shame - Fear - Addiction - Hopelessness - Trauma - Joy Through daily application of scripture, tools, and perspective, you are invited to a different kind of healing journey, one day at a time.

Author Information

Jacqueline is a wife and mother of six from Austin, Texas. She grew up in foster care and was in and out of treatment centers and hospitals for mental illness and PTSD. For decades, she sought out all the resources, therapies, and medicines to treat the diagnosis, even read through all the self-help books; still, nothing was working. Yet, once she gave her life to Christ, she experienced a different healing that brought transformation. Her writings and blogs are vulnerable and encouraging to those afflicted by mental illness. Through her lived experiences she shares the hope she found and invites others to partake in their own healing journeys.
