Overview

It was September of 2003 when Dean Russell went to the gym one day, collapsed, and was without a heartbeat for eleven minutes before being revived. This initial heart failure soon turned into advanced heart failure, and for seventeen years, God kept Dean's heart beating despite the weakening his cardiologists observed. Five years before Dean's passing on Christmas day of 2020, he asked Cathy, his wife, to help him write a book regarding his battle with cardiovascular complications, and thus began this Journey of Miracles. During this time of distress, Dean's faith grew to unmeasured lengths, and he knew he needed to call upon the Lord for strength and guidance during this period of unpredictability for joy, love, and hope.
