Journal of Romanian Studies: Volume 3,1 (2021)

Overview

The biannual, peer-reviewed Journal of Romanian Studies, jointly developed by The Society for Romanian Studies and ibidem Press, examines critical issues in Romanian studies, linking work in that field to wider theoretical debates and issues of current relevance, and serving as a forum for junior and senior scholars. The journal also presents articles that connect Romania and Moldova comparatively with other states and their ethnic majorities and minorities, and with other groups by investigating the challenges of migration and globalization and the impact of the European Union. Issue No. 5 contains: Vintila Mihailescu: ""Rationalism or the agency of culture in Romanian modern social thinking"" Roland Clark: ""The Shape of Interwar Romanian History"" Lucian Turcescu and Lavinia Stan: ""The Romanian Orthodox Church and its Financial Dealings in Post-Communism"" Philippe Henri Blasen: ""Between Poles and Slovaks: National Oscillation in Poiana-Micului (1936–1942)"" Radu Parvulescu: ""The Romanian Judicial Professions Database: An Open-Source Tool for Researching the Romanian Legal System""
