Author Information

Camille Bryant is a devoted mother and educator. Her passion for education was first ignited during her time with AmeriCorps VISTA, where she led an after-school program for refugees. This passion then led Camille to become an elementary school teacher. During her time in the classroom, Camille was able to see firsthand the impact of social and emotional learning on the well-being and overall happiness of children. Her experiences ultimately motivated her to pursue a PhD in educational research at the University of Virginia. As the mother of a neurodivergent child, Camille has observed the importance of fostering empathy and compassion in children's interactions. Camille's commitment to motherhood and to education converge in Josiah Loves to Play.
