Author Information

Christina Jeppesen de Boer is University assistant lecturer and researcher in comparative family law, University of Utrecht, Molengraaff Institute for Private Law associated with the UCERF (Utrecht Centre for European Research into Family Law. She is also part of the research programme Family & Law and a member of the Research School IUS COMMUNE. She studied law at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark 1987-1993 during which period in 1992-1993 at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She worked as an attorney-at-law in Copenhagen till 1999 being admitted to the Danish Bar in 1998. She simultaneously taught family- and inheritance law at the University of Copenhagen. After moving to the Netherlands in 1999 she worked shortly as an international tax advisor for Ernst & Young, Amsterdam. In 2001 she started her PhD research at the University of Utrecht. After defending her PhD in 2008 she continued to work for the University, teaching and researching comparative family law.
