Overview""John The Lonely Giant"" by J.M.Lazell is an enchanting and beautifully illustrated picture book about a lonely giant whose humungous-ness scares people. Unlike most giants in fairy tales, John is kind, gentle and desperate to fit in. He wants to be friends with everyone in the little town where he lives. Sadly the townsfolk can't see beyond his size and think he is a monster. This heart warming story shows that being different is fantastic and at times very useful. When John's town is threatened by a terrible storm, the townsfolk realize just how important and fantastic being a giant is. ""John The Lonely Giant"" reminds us all to look beyond our fears and differences and see the hero in all of us. ""John The Lonely Giant"" is a wonderful bedtime read and would be a great gift for young children. Full Product DetailsAuthor: J. M. She is a wife, mother and owner of a very scruffy dog and three goldfish. She studied for a Drama and English degree at St Mary's College, Strawberry Hill, in the hopes of becoming the next Judy Dench. When this didn't happen, she trained as a Dance Movement Therapist at Laban instead. To date she has had a varied career as a dance assistant for Angelina Alessendre's Special Needs Dance School, artist, prop maker, care assistant and postie, though sadly never made it to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra because her viola playing is very, very, very bad.
