Reviews

This is a collection of sketches by some of those who have been closest to Stott over the years. Thus it will provide essential insights into grasping his personal legacy. This is a delightful book; as the blurb simply says: 'Thirty five of John's friends open their hearts and share memories of a unique man and a truly special friend. Many brush strokes, one portrait'. Published before his death, this is a fitting tribute to a man who has fought the good fight and finished the race.

Author Information

John Stott exercised a worldwide ministry as a church leader, Bible expositor and author. His bestselling books have been translated into numerous languages, won several awards and shaped whole generations of ministers, thinkers, writers and bloggers. John was Rector Emeritus of All Souls, Langham Place, London and Founder-President of the Langham Partnership. He was awarded the CBE in the Queen's 2006 New Year honours. Chris Wright knew John Stott personally from 1978 and worked with several of the organisations he founded. In 2001 John invited him to take over from him the leadership of the ministries that now form the Langham Partnership International (known in the USA as John Stott Ministries). He continues in this role as the International Director of LPI, with John Stott as its lifetime Honorary President. Chris is a prolific author who speaks at conferences around the world, as well as his home church, All Souls Langham Place.
