Author Information

David J. Schow is a multiple-award-winning West Coast writer. The latest of his ten novels is a hardboiled extravaganza called The Big Crush. The newest of his ten short story collections is a greatest hits anniversary compendium titled DJStories. He has been a contributor to Storm King Comics' John Carpenter's Tales for a Halloween Night since its very first issue. In 2018 Storm King released his five-issue series, John Carpenter's Tales of Science Fiction: THE STANDOFF, followed in 2021 by the eight-issue series John Carpenter's Tales of Science Fiction: HELL. He's written extensively for film (The Crow, Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, The Hills Run Red) and television (Masters of Horror, Mob City, Creepshow). His nonfiction works include The Outer Limits Companion, The Art of Drew Struzan and The Outer Limits at 50. Andres Esparza, originally from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, is a fan of comics, video games, and science fiction, horror and fantasy movies. He has eighteen years of experience in the comic industry, from working with local independent publications to international publications such as 1First Comics, Zenescope, Z2 Comics, and Double Take. Projects include Mundo Diablo, a comic spinoff of the Netflix hit Diablero for Heavy Metal Magazine, and John Carpenter's Tales of Science Fiction: VAULT, John Carpenter's Tales of Science Fiction: THE STANDOFF and John Carpenter's Tales of Science Fiction: HELL for Storm King Comics. He also works with video game studios such as CgBot, Amber Studio and Capio Technologies. He is an amateur musician (quite amateur) and basketball player (zero jump), and is happily married. Working on what he loves the most is a dream come true. Cat Staggs is an artist best known for her work on the New York Times Bestselling title Smallville Season 11 from DC Comics. She is the co-creator of Crosswind, with Gail Simone (Image Comics). Recently she completed a cover run on Darkwing Duck (Disney). She was also an artist on Death Of Superman with Louise Simonson (DC Comics) and Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity (DC Comics). She has also worked on popular titles like Adventures Of Supergirl (DC Comics), Wonder Woman '77 (DC Comics), X-Files and Orphan Black (IDW), Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman (DC), The Vampire Diaries (DC), Phantom Lady And Doll Man (DC), Star Trek (IDW), Tales For A HalloweeNight Vol. 1-10 (Storm King Comics), John Carpenter's Tales Of Science Fiction: Surviving Nuclear Attack with Joe Harris (Storm King Comics), and almost 20 years in the Star Wars universe with Lucasfilm. In 2017 one of a kind original Wonder Woman piece was inducted to the Library of Congress by Lynda Carter along with Wonder Woman '77 Vol. 1.
