Paper lace comes in all types from doileys to laser cut shapes or lengths on rolls, not forgetting background papers depicting lace. This book shows you how to make beautiful greetings card with all these lacy things. The main focus of the book are all the beautiful items found on Joanna Sheen's website, particularly her gorgeous CD ROMs filled with lovely images, many of them Victorian. Add to that the background papers and rubber stamps, and you have all the ingredients to make some stunning cards, together with the paper lace. There are several projects in here, all staged with photographed steps for ease of construction as well as several other easy to make examples. Cards featuring vintage photos, Christmas bells (my own favorite), silhouettes and flowers recall the elegance of time past, but with some modern tweaks for contemporary appeal. Also featured in the book are staged instructions for mounting rubber stamps, making a gatefold card and using embossing powders.
