Author Information

Priscilla Ayala-Boatman brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her writing. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashworth College, graduating with honors in Child Development Associate. Additionally, she holds certifications in Office Administration and CPR. Her academic excellence earned her an invitation to the Georgia Alpha Chapter of the Delta Epsilon Tau National Honor Society. Having worked as a former Early Head Start Teacher in Vernon, Texas, Priscilla is well-versed in child development and education. She also possesses a creative talent for designing all the illustrations in her book. Priscilla's motivation for writing this book is deeply personal. It is a tribute to her beloved son, Jason Jayden Boatman, affectionately known as J.J., who tragically succumbed to a sudden illness related to the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2021. The loss of J.J. deeply impacted his family and friends, and Priscilla hopes that this heartfelt book will resonate with others dealing with grief, loss, and the concept of life beyond this earthly realm. Born and raised in Carrizo Springs, Texas, Priscilla cherishes the Texano culture of South Texas. Her son J.J. grew up in the small town of Vernon, Texas, alongside his siblings Electra and Sabrina and their father, Jason Wayne Boatman. Despite the physical absence of J.J., his life continues to inspire and impact those who knew him. This book serves as a tribute and celebration of J.J.'s remarkable life and all those who have transitioned from this world into the next chapter.
