"D.C. Copeland's dance/drama ""Jitterbug!"" won the Jaz Dorsey Fusion Award from the African American Playwrights Exchange. It has had two NYC readings. The first was at the prestigious National Black Theatre in Harlem. The second had dance numbers by Emmy nominated choreographer Jeffrey Page at the New Works Festival sponsored by Emerging Artists Theatre in NYC. Both were directed by Petronia Paley. He wrote the documentary ""On the road to Olustee"" which is about Florida's biggest Civil War battle. He wrote and directed a TV pilot for a family cooking show called ""Cookabunga!"" starring veteran stand-up comic Heywood Banks. He also has two YA action/adventure novels out based on his Nokosee screenplays: Nokosee: Rise of the New Seminole and Nokosee & Stormy: Love and Bullets. Both have reaped a fervent YA audience."
