OverviewWhat if Jesus showed up at your house one night, tapped you on the shoulder, and told you to wake up? Then you find out that he doesn't only want you to wake up from your bed but wake up to your life. Each chapter begins with an encounter with Jesus followed by simple steps to living life awake. In a style similar to ""Conversations with God"" and the works of Anthony De Mello, David Jones, the author of ""The Psychology of Jesus,"" offers helpful ways to find enlightenment in every day activities. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDavid Jones is the pastor of Orlando Presbyterian Church in Orlando, Florida and author of eight books and collections. David grew up in the shadow of a textile mill in South Carolina where his father worked as the plant manager. In the mill village he learned about hard work, league softball, church picnics, neighborhood hospitality, and front porch story tellers. At age nineteen, David got his first job running a church youth program and took his father's work ethic and sense of the southern parish into the pastorate. Along the way, he met Carrie Richards from Ada, Michigan and convinced her to give up cold winters for hot summers and join him on the coast of South Carolina. Today, they live outside in Orlando Florida where David is the pastor of Orlando Presbyterian Church (orlandopres.org). Here is how one reader described David, ""Very few storytellers are the storyteller that David Jones is. He spins a tale to make a point and, in doing so, reveals truth through laughter. The tale becomes the memory tool so that the ""ah-ha"" moments become imprinted on your mind and can be retrieved for future inspiration."" Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
