Overview

What does it really mean to follow Jesus? Is it just a set of intellectual facts about the cross, forgiveness of sins, and an afterlife? Or is it something more than that? Why is it that the lives of Christians and those who are not Christians seem to look so similar at times in the Western world? If someone followed you around live-tweeting your daily decisions and values, who would they say that you follow? These are some of the questions Wes Hynd has been wrestling with for 15 years as he has sought to identify some of the ways in which Western culture has subtly influenced our Christian faith, including in our: Time Career Family Friendships Money and Emotions Join Wes as he shares his own journey of coming to grips with what a Biblical perspective looks like in every part of life, and learn how to live out your own love for Jesus while being captured by the sheer beauty of God in the process!

Our cultural Christianity has diluted the demands of discipleship as laid out by Jesus. If we aren't careful, even committed Christians can fade in our passion and merely conform to the popular mould. This book will stir your heart, renew your passion for Jesus, and dare you to embrace the adventures God has in store. Most of all, Wes and his family intentionally model the missional life and their lives authenticate the message of this book! - Ashwin Ramani, Associate Teaching Pastor, Centre Street Church, Calgary Jesus Take All of Me is a refreshing and creative challenge to the many ways we live as 'Christian materialists.' Wes Hynd does more than critique our indulgent lifestyles; he addresses the inner emptiness that leads us to feed on the dust and ashes of shallow materialism. Most significantly, he paints a detailed picture of a rich and fulfilling alternative. He is kind and pastoral, without mincing words. You might call Jesus Take All of Me an extended sermon-a very good one. - John Smed, Director, Prayer Current
