Author Information

Hugh J. Schonfield, one of the original Dead Sea Scroll scholars, was the first Jewish scholar to translate the New Testament from the original Greek into English, a work which received the highest praise for accuracy and historical realism from churchmen and scholars alike. He wrote over thirty books, including The Passover Plot (over three million copies sold), The Essene Odyssey, Those Incredible Christians and The Pentecost Revolution. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1959 for his services towards international harmony and co-operation.
