Raised in Alexandria, Louisiana, his early life was shaped by the powerful voices of black preachers and the rich cultural heritage of his community. Influenced by figures such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., E. V. Hill and Charles Spurgeon, Dr. Talley has spent his life merging visual expression with biblical truths. As a Professor of Art at Prairie View A&M University for nearly five decades, Dr. Talley has inspired countless students through both his teaching and his art. His academic journey includes degrees from Southern University and Louisiana State University, as well as advanced theological training from Houston Graduate School of Theology and the Master's International School of Divinity.
