Jesus and the Women of Faith, Hope, and Love

Overview

Come to a deeper understanding of the transforming love of God through these guided reflections on the encounters between Jesus and three women in the Gospels. By contemplating the faith of Mary Magdalene, the hope of the penitent woman forgiven by Jesus, and the love of Mary of Bethany (sister of Martha and Lazarus) Christians today can learn how to use their unique gifts to serve God and others. These examples of female discipleship teach us that the essential experience of the Christian life is simply to be loved by God, and to respond to God in that same love. Also included for prayer and reflection is ""Women in Service of the Gospel,"" a general audience given by Pope Benedict XVI in February 2007. Booklet
