Jamie Robbins' love for scuba diving began in childhood and led to his certification at fifteen in Southern California. A PADI instructor for more than twenty-five years, he has taught diving around the world. Writing as James Robbins, he contributed to publications such as The Los Angeles Times and the Reno Gazette-Journal. With degrees in oceanographic technology, religious studies, and journalism, he built a twelve-year career in print news before moving into internet advertising, technology, and entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley. Today, he runs businesses in web development and sports videography with his children, while writing books and teaching scuba in Pensacola, Florida, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. He lives in Pensacola with his wife, Donna.
