Overview

God is concerned about the state of the human condition. He sends his son, formerly known as Jesus and now known as Jerry O' back to Earth to read the world the riot act. Despite our great advances in technology, we have become coarsened and narcissistic. This time the son returns to Earth with company. The novel describes the fantastic odyssey of Jerry O' and his troupe. The novel veers between ribald fantasy, adventure and sharp commentary. The climax is stunning and dramatic. Jerry O' travels back to Earth as a modern young Irishman. He is accompanied by Vasco De Gama, Joan of Arc and Charles Dickens. De Gama is head of security, Joan is to be the strategist and Charles will chronicle the journey. A wayward, but well-meaning angel, Calliope, completes the team. The World does not take kindly to the intruders, and the Big Fellow, as the creator is known, watches closely from Paradise. Jerry O' is dogged and persistent and he tells the world where we are going wrong. Apostles have been appointed and they help to send the message. However, forces collide and the trip takes a fantastic final twist.

Author Information

The author has practised as a barrister, KC, judge and Law Professor over a career spanning 50 years. He has been awarded an Order of Australia medal for his service to the law. He is also a musician and songwriter. He is the Jazzer in the Rocker & Jazzer band that has recorded several albums, and he has co-written numerous songs that have been covered in the USA and Europe. He has written published textbooks, a memoir REFLECTIONS OF TINY VICTORIES and a number of novels including MONKEY MAN and HITLER'S BARBER that are available in print.
