Her parents divorced due to domestic violence. She spent most of her childhood feeling abandoned by her father and a burden to her mother. She relied on her grandmother, Lupita's, consistent, unconditional love and unwavering faith for guidance and support. Jennifer anguished after her grandmother passed. Now a divorced mother herself, Jennifer made it her mission to see that her son Jacob feels happy and safe and knows both parents love him. One of her proudest personal accomplishments has been building and sustaining a healthy co-parenting relationship with her son's father.Like her character Jenni collects pennies in her piggy bank; Jennifer records moments of joy in her journal. He faced many challenges in a single-parent household with his siblings and used art as an escape. Upon graduating high school, Francisco joined the United States Army and retired in 2022.
