Donna is a retired teacher and school administrator who has worked with students at all levels. She holds both a Bachelor and Master's degree in Education and School Administration, as well as a Doctor of Education and Supervision. She grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast. With her faithful pets always by her side, she traveled the world teaching, painting, exploring caves, castles, icebergs, scuba diving and sleeping on beaches. Donna is the mother of three beautiful daughters and the grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren and twelve awesome great-grandchildren (soon to be thirteen). . When she is not reading, working on a children's book, a young adult novel or painting, she enjoys genealogy research, participating in community theater and playing Mah Jongg. Lily Ortiz is an up-and-coming artist who specializes in children's book illustrations. She has worked with various authors and publishers to bring their stories to life through her art.
