Reviews

""My favorite poems are Not Who, but What, Devoid of Blame, and The Sweetest Goodbye. These poems taught me the importance of identifying the root causes of the problems in my love life and being open to managing the outcome of things. I am now aware of the several lapses from my side that destroyed some otherwise promising relationships I had been in. The loss and misery that followed were avoidable if only I had been better informed then."" - Rishaunda Lynnette Britton, Online Book Club ""I journeyed through these pages and felt immersed in another human's very real understanding of love. Poetry, no matter the length, has the opportunity to take the reader on a trip somewhere singular. In the case of these poems, it almost always does. Whether you consider yourself a poetry enthusiast or someone who might view verse with a raised eyebrow, you will be surprised and entertained by this collection of love poems, just like I was."" - Susan Morris, Independent Book Review ""Too often we think of poetry as something complex when, in reality, it is simply about seeing with your heart readily open to the inevitable emotions that it brings, be it you as the poet or as the muse. This lovely and rich collection, penned in an incredible and vastly unique style, truly epitomizes the beauty and musicality of language."" - Jasmine Miro, Author of Where Written Words Remain ""These poems resonate with anyone who has experienced the rollercoaster of love and loss and navigated the tempest of heartbreak. They urge you to cherish the memories of the love gone, teaching lessons of resilience and fortitude, and helping in the journey of healing. With myriad emotions, they convey passion that can only be articulated by those who have loved truly, deeply, and madly."" - Sankalpita Singh, BookGeeks ""What I loved the most about Desai's poetry is the wisdom-filled perspective from which he writes and the gratitude evident in his reflections on experiences of love and loss, and the lessons gained from both. Rarely do you find a poet whose words remind us there is still beauty in the things that break us, if we are brave enough to sift through 'what once was, ' so we may discover the value of 'what now remains.' Kalpesh Desai has accomplished this feat with this book."" - Nicole Gabert ""Jasmines In Her Hair is like a fascinating adventure exploring deep topics like love, heartache, and finding oneself again. The author shares their own thoughts and feelings, using powerful words to talk about love in many different ways. What I really liked about this book is how it reminds us to value every relationship we have and be grateful for what they bring to our lives."" - Jaishree Nenwani ""My favorite poems are Not Who, but What, Devoid of Blame, and The Sweetest Goodbye.
