Jake's Raven

Overview

Jake and Carissa grew up together outside of Shelby, Montana where the sons were raised to be ranchers and the girls were raised to be rancher's wives. Jake called her his raven because of her midnight black hair. The two have been connected since kindergarten and everyone assumed they would get married, but Carissa didn't want to be just a rancher's wife, she wanted a life she could claim as her own. So, she left Montana after high school and went to college in Minnesota. She became a powerful corporate attorney specializing in mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers. Jake stayed behind in the hopes that one day Carissa would come back to him. But she didn't. He soon finds himself in the Navy as a way to forget about her. He becomes a decorated and respected SEAL while she builds a lucrative and successful career in St. Paul. Carissa doesn't look back for 15 years - until she finds out Jake has asked about her. Overcome by curiosity, Carissa returns to Montana and the two are reunited. They find that their emotional connection was never broken and the two struggle to find a way to stay together, however, Carissa's past, Emilio Ramos, a Spanish businessman, who wants her for his own, follows them to Montana to claim what he believes is his. With the past closing in and temptation burning hotter than ever, Jake and Carissa fight for freedom from the dangerous Ramos and for the love that they could never let go.
