Author Information

John Priest has been writing for children since 1985. He has two daughters and lives with his wife in the UK. Most of his time is now spent with his wife and their five grandchildren, telling them stories, playing and acting like a five-year-old. This story is based around the real-life events of Jack, his eldest grandson, who was diagnosed with Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Uveitis and Hypermobility at the age of four. A difficult and tough two years later, Jack is winning most of his battles with the illness. He goes to Hospital on a regular basis and at just six years of age, is fully prepared for his examinations. Jack and John hope that this book helps your own child's visits to Hospital, and that both you and your child can use the story and tips to make your trip to Hospital less stressful.
